Each page of the Sight Word Super Stars packets focuses on the following 13 activities:
1. Find and Circle it Students find the specified sight word within a group of different words with a variety of fonts.
2. Trace it Students will be able to trace the specified sight word two times using proper letter formation. This will also help them practice good penmanship.
3. Identify the part of speech Students color the part of speech for the given sight word. This is a great opportunity to pull out those dictionaries!
4. How Many Syllables Students count the number of syllables in the sight word.
5. Highlight it Grab the highlighters (or crayons) and lets students find the specified sight word in a group of 12 sight words.
6. Put it in a Sentence There are two simple sentences where students will write the sight word and read the sentence with the sight word.
7. Write Your Own Sentence Students will use the given sight word to write two sentences of their own. 2nd and/or 3rd grade students can practice writing their sentences in cursive.
8. Capital Letters Write the sight word with all CAPITAL letters.
9. Fancy Letters Write the sight word with all FANCY letters.
10. Dot Letters Write the sight word with DOTS at the tips.
11. Cursive Letters Write the sight word with CURSIVE letters.
12. Use the Color Code Write the vowels and consonants in the sight words using the given color code.
13. Rainbow Write Write the sight word with RAINBOW colors.
